The Cisco’s Container Platform is now setting its form to work in coordination with SAP’s Data Hub for integrating large datasets which are currently present in the public clouds such as Amazon Web Services, Hadoop, Microsoft or Google.
Cisco on October 2 has stated its lineup with the SAP in order to ease customers handling of high volumes of data from multi-cloud channels and distributed data center resources. With the companies announced that explains, Cisco’s Container Platform’s work with SAP’s Data Hub shall integrate large data sets present in the public clouds, such as Amazon Web Services, Hadoop, Microsoft or Google. It will work towards integrating these with private cloud or enterprise apps namely SAP S/4 HANA.
This can be either a stand-alone Cisco Container Platform or Integrated Cisco Container Platform on Cisco HyperFlex. Both of which are SAP certified software. The first one allows customers to install their choice of on-premise infrastructure, whereas the second one is both software and hardware package for customers who are preconfigured with the hyper-converged platform which contributes for the quick and easy functioning of SAP Data Hub.
The idea behind being to let customers place data as they wish in cloud services or in local data centers. This will lead legacy applications to work in hybrid cloud environments without any lift and shift of data, This leads to a reduction in complexity which will help customers gain quick actionable insights to develop useful applications from stored data.
