The not-for-profit health care system, Allina Health has reportedly established a new partnership with PatientWisdom, Inc., developer of a SaaS digital health platform, to improve patient engagement through the utilization of the digital platform, PatientWisdom. According to the reports, the platform integrates EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems and patient portals and enables patients to share personal or health details before their clinical meet. Afterward, PatientWisdom filter that data into an at-a-glance inSIGHT summary that is then sent to care teams before the visit to recognize what matters to their patients, which, in turn, supports providers deliver superior outcomes.
In this regard, providers reportedly confirm that it only takes nearly 15 seconds to review the PatientWisdom inSIGHT summary in the EHR before seeing a patient while 90 percent of patients report that PatientWisdom improves communication with the providers who use it. In addition, most of the people, about 95 percent, rate their visit as going extremely well, a marked improvement over baseline scores and use has been associated with a meaningful reduction in new-patient no show rates. As part of the announcement, Allina Health joins other forward-leaning healthcare organizations, involving Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, OSF HealthCare, the Healthcare Transformation Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, and Yale New Haven Health in using PatientWisdom.
