Alteryx, an Irvine, California-based computer software solution provider for data science and analytics, as per recent reports, has acquired ClearStory Data, a Menlo Park, California-based business intelligence (BI) and data analytics solutions provider for complex data. Financial details of the acquisition deal were not disclosed.
The Menlo Park, California-based ClearStory Data, was founded in 2011 by Sharmila Mulligan. ClearStory employs artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technology automation to enable enterprises to unlock the hidden potential of extensive data sets, helping them make informed, insightful decisions to boost their business growth. The firm, by leveraging Apache Spark-based big data processing, uncovers insights from large and complex data sources comprising of disparate sets of data.
The Irvine-based Alteryx says that there is synergy between the two companies and with this acquisition, the company [Alteryx] will be gaining a ‘talented team and compelling technology’. Dean Stoecker, co-founder and CEO of Alteryx, states: “We have been anticipating consolidation in the market and when we identified the great talent and compelling technology of ClearStory, we embraced the opportunity. We believe the combination of the ClearStory Data and Alteryx teams will help us accelerate through the next wave of innovation in the data science and analytics market.”
