Anritsu Company, a US-based subsidiary of Japanese electronics company-Anritsu Corporation, and TRX Systems, an indoor, underground location services provider, in a recent press release on Tuesday, Mar. 5th 2019, introduced the industry’s first field solution, combining the Field Master Pro™ MS2090A RF handheld spectrum analyzer with the MA8100A TRX NEON® Signal Mapper, to provide 3D indoor and outdoor coverage mapping for 5G New Radio (5G NR). The integrated solution will enable wireless professionals, which includes commercial wireless service providers, wireless subcontractors, and public safety entities, working in the field deploying 5G NR, to conduct more accurate field measurements than conventional instruments using 2D data, ensuring 5G NR networks meet indoors and outdoors performance specifications.
Furthermore, these professionals can use the Field Master Pro MS2090A with NEON to ensure reliable communications everywhere, ranging from open fields in the countryside to a congested and heavily dense location with multiple high rising structures in the middle of a large city. NEON further ensures network performance at indoor locations like office buildings, underground train tunnels, and large public spaces such as stadiums, arenas, shopping malls, theatres, railway stations, and airports.
The integrated solution when used outdoors, within the sight of GPS satellites, will utilize the GPS data to offer user tracking while making measurements. In indoors, underground, or GPS-denied locations, the TRX NEON solution using a body-worn tracking unit and an Android application delivers 3D location and mapping of measurement data.
