Antaira Technologies, an Anaheim, California-based leading developer and manufacturer of industrial networking devices and communication solutions, as per recent reports, has announced the launch of the ARS-7231-AC Series dual radio wireless unit. The unit supports access point, WDS station, transparent bridge or repeater functionalities for industrial and enterprise WAP (Wireless Access Point) applications.
The ARS-7231-AC Series unit comes embedded with the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9892 chipset, which, according to the company, empowers it with network robustness, stability, and a wide network coverage capabilities. The unit supports a low voltage 9V input. Based on IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi standards, the access point supports network data transmitting speeds of up to 867Mbps.
Furthermore, the dual radio wireless unit offers many routing functionalities, which are generally found only on advanced devices, functionalities such as the VPN and a firewall feature, along with different modes of operations.
Additionally, the previously mentioned functionalities i.e. access point, WDS station, transparent bridge, or repeater, enable the user to position the wireless antennas in a better signal-broadcasting location, this provides for improved wireless coverage and a boosted signal, or add external location-optimized antennas.
