Arecont Vision Costar, at its first ISC West — post the July 2018 acquisition of Arecont Vision Holdings, LLC, by Costar Technologies, Inc., following bankruptcy proceedings — shared a rebranded booth at the ISC West 2019 along with its two sister companies –Cohu and Costar Video. Reportedly, the Arecont booth attracted much attention featuring a handful of new cameras, which also included the two new Omni models.
The company revealed its SurroundVideo Omni SX model as part of and the newest member of the MegaIP series family.
The newest Omni SX builds on the Omni G2 by promising to deliver improved image quality and further enhanced product reliability, as per reports by the company. Available in 12 & 20MP resolutions, the Omni SX features true day/night capabilities for indoor/outdoor usage, offering advanced wide dynamic range (WDR) for varied lighting conditions and NightView for enhanced performance in low-light conditions.
Furthermore, the Omni SX model, with built-in SNAPstream technology, offers much-enhanced image quality at reduced bandwidth without sacrificing the quality. The four-sensor, user-configurable Omni SX camera series specifically designed with customer’s choice in mind, offers remote focus lens options ranging from 2.1 to 16mm.
In addition, the company also introduced the ConteraIP Omni RS, that’ll be joining the previously-released panoramic dome as a new multisensor choice in the growing ConteraIP-series. The Omni RS features in many advancements from the new SurroundVideo Omni SX, along with additional enhancements.
