Nevertheless, the company hasn’t given up yet. The company has stopped making its own hardware and suffered a further loss when it collaborated with the electronics giant Samsung to brand some of its tablets as nook editions. The FCC has just received a new tablet design as the Barnes and Nobel tried a new approach, which they believe will be competing with the Fire from Amazon. Build by Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen Jingwah Information Technology Co. Ltd. the new 7-inch tablet is shown by FCC with Barnes & Nobel and Nook logo at the rear.

The new tablet dubbed Nook tablet-7 looks like a budget tablet rather than relying on the premium specs of the Samsung lineup. Nook Tablet-7 is incorporated with the same processor as on the Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet i.e. MediaTek MT8163 ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor however the FCC was not yet been provided with a full specs list. It will not be surprising to see a holiday season availability and an aggressive price point as the Barnes & Nobel took another step in the budget tablet war. However, the details about the release and pricing were not known.
