Check Point Software has acquired Dome9 a deal that created a huge anticipation of boosting the cloud security portfolio for Check Point.
The software-as-a-service (PaaS) platform of Dome9 will add new capabilities to check Point specifically in areas of cloud management and policy enforcement with the company recently launching Cloud Guard product portfolio. Dome9 is actively participating across all cloud assets and policy compliance for automatically remedying anything that does not seem as secure as other policy dictates explain Peter Alexander, CMO of Check Point.
Dome9 has been supporting the company in the past as well. Now, it will be seen working with further integrations between its platform and Check Point’s CloudGuard infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) security product in the coming days. Alexander expresses his excitement by saying, that this will greatly complement their CloudGuard IaaS with a continuous protection tool for their entire cloud environment.
The startup has previously raised 29.3 million dollars till date with a customer’s base including Fortune 1000 companies, global system integrators, and managed services providers like Kellogg’s, Citric, Cloudera, the National Hockey League, Vanguard, and Virgin Pulse.
