CloudBees, a San Jose, California-based enterprise DevOps firm, as per recent reports, has announced acquiring Rollout, a San Francisco, California-based enterprise secure feature management system provider, in its attempts to enhance the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) market, enabling customers to provide featured new updates safely, securely, and quickly into production.
“Our goal is to help organizations deliver software efficiently while minimizing risks associated with the deployment process,” states Sacha Labourey, CEO & co-founder of CloudBees. “The acquisition of Rollout gives CloudBees customers the flexibility to decouple features from software versions. Using Rollout on their trusted enterprise platform allows developers to test and merge changes with more confidence than ever before.”
“We’re thrilled to be part of the CloudBees team,” says Erez Rusovsky, CEO and co-founder of Rollout, who will take on the Product Director charge for the Rollout offering. “CloudBees has set the standard for excellence in CI and CD. Rollout joining forces with CloudBees is genuinely the case where 1+1=3. Feature flags and CI/CD combined help companies truly become continuous and increase the pace of innovation.”
High-performance software developers and teams who prefer segregating the code deployments from feature releases, understand the benefits of continuous software delivery. With the Rollout solution, developers have the option to continuously deliver changes, i.e. control both the roll out and roll back of featured updates, instantly on any platform (including mobile), regardless of deployment restrictions.
