Coinbase, a digital currency exchange, has reportedly opened its project ‘Coinbase Earn’ to users in more than 100 countries. As the exchange’s project had rolled out in late 2018 to users, this pilot period allows users to earn cryptocurrency by learning about the ERC-20 token “0x” (ZRX). As per the survey by Coinbase, uninformed users were disinclined to invest in crypto but were eager to learn.
The company said that “…one of the biggest barriers preventing people from exploring a new digital asset was a lack of knowledge about that asset. Many of the people we surveyed expressed a strong desire to begin learning about new and different crypto assets beyond Bitcoin, but didn’t know where to begin.” Coinbase Earn users can also earn crypto, as well as in return for taking quizzes about Stellar Lumens (XLM), Zcash (ZEC) and Basic Attention Token (BAT), they can further earn those respective coins. The company’s intention behind Coinbase Earn is to empower people regarding blockchain technology, as the cryptocurrency space has been transforming from mining to purchasing and earning cryptocurrencies.
The Coinbase’s project Coinbase Earn will be accessible for Canada, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, New Zealand, and Taiwan. Moreover, it will also arrive at the U.S, U.K and a large part of the EU. With this expansion to over 100 countries, Coinbase will add value to their cap. The exchange is also planning to add more tokens on this platform, as the report noted. Recently, the digital currency exchange had added trading support for 50 new jurisdictions, in addition to USD Coin (USDC) trading options in 85 new countries.
