Openpath, a Culver City, California-based next-gen access control startup, as per recent reports last week, has announced appointing Kieran Hannon as the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Hannon, who formerly served as the CMO of Belkin International, will be joining Openpath as it further accelerates on its rapid growth path. The company has also opened its second office in Indianapolis.
Hannon’s role at Openpath will be to oversee all the company’s marketing, with his mission to help drive growth by establishing an emotional connection with customers and users, which includes building owners, building managers, and employees. Additionally, Hannon will also be an integral part of the company’s executive team, which currently comprises of Openpath’s five co-founders.
“I was drawn to Openpath’s commitment to solving one of the most pervasive challenges in the modern office — smart, convenient, safe workplace security,” Hannon states. “The team at Openpath has created a thoughtful, all-encompassing approach to mobile access control that puts the user first. Openpath’s dedication to providing its customers with the best user experience, without compromising best-in-class safety standards, is much admired. This inspired me to join a proven, highly successful founding team in creating the compelling global brand for the modern workforce.”
The company also recently announced a $20 million Series B and has expanded its core product line up with the Mullion Smart Reader and Elevator Board.
