DataStax Inc., a data management company based in Santa Clara, California, in a recent statement, announced entering an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) agreement with Hitachi-Japan. The said partnership will enable DataStax to expand its DataStax Enterprise (DSE) portfolio to Japan through Hitachi’s digital twin solution for optimizing equipment manufacturing with the Internet of Things (IoT) sensor data.
Hitachi’s digital twin solution, which is part of its Lumada Solution, is so designed to transform the manufacturing sector with IoT digitization. The digital twin solution, leveraging DSE and DSE Graph, integrates various data silos in operational & manufacturing processes. The solution, leveraging the DSE, creates a digital replica of data relationships in the manufacturing process for industries with IoT sensor data.
Hitachi also built a proprietary data model that offers production visibility to streamline production operations based on DSE Graph. The collaborative DSE & Hitachi technologies will enable manufacturers with product sequence optimization, supply chain optimization, product plan optimization, and product traceability.
According to Matt Rollender, VP, Global Business Development, DataStax, the company is much pleased to partner with Hitachi-Japan and plans to deliver the power of DSE to more Japanese enterprises. Adding further, he said that Hitachi’s powerful digital twin solution requires an always-on, real-time, and distributed cloud database, but what it requires the most is the expertise and support DataStax offers, and the company is excited to solve the database needs for the manufacturing industry, in partnership with Hitachi.
