The Digi IX14 is a secure and reliable router, which is perfect for utility, Smart City and kiosk applications. The LTE router module will come handy for those who seek affordable, low bandwidth, and single asset applications, and will come with a one-year subscription to Digi Remote Manager to meet the demands of critical infrastructure, retail, industrial, and digital signage markets.
The LTE router with its much-advanced scripting and customizable business logic via Open Source Python 3.6 will have edge computing capabilities to performs tasks and execute applications at the device level, while Digi Remote Manager and Bluetooth capabilities ensure a much reliable, quick, and secure installation. Additionally, the LTE router also ensures that both the Ethernet and serial port can link to a single essential or a network of IoT sensors virtually anywhere, and the dual SIM slots allow to switch carriers, thus much better network flexibility with a much-reduced failover or downtime.
The Digi IX14 includes an LTE modem capable of 3G fallback for North America, with an upcoming version which will support 3G/2G fallback for Europe. Additionally, the router comes with a hardened design to withstand harsh environmental conditions with MIL-STD-810G certification for vibrational shocks and temperature and an IP54 rating for water resistance and protection from dust particles.
