Doordash, a San Francisco, California-based logistics food delivery service, as per recent reports, experienced a technical glitch causing its app to crash on Friday night, Apr. 12th 2019, eventually leading to thousands of unhappy drivers and hungry customers nationwide.
As per reports, the problems with the Doordash app occurred around 6 PM Pacific time, leaving the app completely inaccessible on a busy delivery night. Dashers, as Doordash calls it’s delivery contractors, were left in the dark, with no way of them knowing where to pick up and deliver food.
Eventually, Doordash officials were quick to figure this out, and soon as the famous food delivery app started experiencing problems, the official Doordash account at Twitter posted the following tweet:
“We are currently experiencing issues with our platform. We are working to resolve as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.”
Within an hour to be exact, the executives were able to resolve the issue, and retweeted the following message,
“Our service has been restored and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. For further assistance please visit http://DoorDash.com/help”
However, even after the service restored tweet, users reported experiencing issues in placing an order.
