Quorum Health, a provider of hospital and outpatient healthcare services, has tapped American healthcare revenue cycle management platform R1 RCM to offer end-to-end revenue cycle management services across Quorum Health’s portfolio. After a competitive vendor selection of R1 RCM, Quorum Health expected to go live in the second of this year. The R1 RCM’s platform integration with existing infrastructure is anticipated to advance revenue cycle operations meanwhile cutting the costs, boosting revenue and reconstructing the patient experience.
Ahead of this selection of R1 RCM, Quorum Health’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Alfred Lumsdaine said that “Working with R1 will allow us to transition our revenue cycle management activities to a platform that aligns with the needs of our hospitals.” He further noted that “R1’s technology-enabled platform and revenue cycle operations experience will help with a smooth transition, as well as providing near-term visibility to meeting our financial goals. In addition, our partnership with R1 represents an exciting opportunity to better serve our patients through an improved overall healthcare experience.” With this move, Quorum Health joins a prestigious list of R1 customers, including Intermountain Healthcare, Ascension and AMITA Health.
