The collaboration is aimed at improving interoperability and enhancing connectivity between provider EHR systems. The partnership will allow HealtHIE Nevada to utilize RosettaHealth’s HealthBus solution to more easily translate health data transport protocols. With this solution, HealtHIE Nevada will have access to streamline patient registration and offer health records to all providers during and after health care procedures.

Moreover, RosettaHealth’s HealthBus solution also provides opportunities for healthcare facilities to utilize the solution to share patient health data and access the HIE from their own EHR systems to salvage medical records. The solution is aimed at lessening administrative encumber associated with HIE use and foster health data exchange between providers and healthcare facilities. On this partnership, HealtHIE Nevada Executive Director Michael Gagnon stated that “This collaboration equates to a more seamless experience for providers as well as patients throughout the Silver State.” According to him, “Thanks to our partnership with RosettaHealth, we’ll be able to improve access to patient data and expand our offerings.” He further added that “This includes the enhancement of patient-centered data home capabilities and the sharing of medical records for patients in need of care in-state and outside of Nevada.”

As a Software-as-a-Service solution, HealthBus provides to users full HIE capabilities on sending and receiving information. Participants of HIE can utilize this solution for standardized exchange formats such as push, query, retrieve exchange, HL7 Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Direct messaging, and Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR). It also provides users the real-time data analytics capabilities of detailed connection status information in addition to metrics and logs about various facilities, data feeds, and protocols. At present, HealtHIE Nevada connects over 70 healthcare organizations across the state and is continuously expanding and working towards safe, secure health data exchange and management.
