The new iPhone was launched since more than a week but the company has not released any sales figure yet. This is the first time the company has done this. Apple hasn’t shared its official sales figure despite the launch of its iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The shipment of more than 13 million was expected prior to the launch of the iPhone 7. Which is in line with the numbers published by the company last year for the sales of iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. The company said in a statement that the hundreds and thousands of distributors across the globe has brought us to a point where we can expect the initial shipment to be sold out. The statement was released prior to the release of the iPhones though. But still, they make no sense.
The company suspecting less sale than the previous years might just be another reason for this. If that is the case then it is the first time the company hasn’t set a new record since it was first launched in the year 2007.
The company was under pressure for losing ground to its rivals in the case of design and the wow factor. Apple reported year-over-year revenue loss in 2013.
