Johnson Controls, a global diversified technology and multi-industrial leader with North America operational headquarters at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as per recent reports this week, has introduced the Pro 2MP Micro camera for low-profile and high-performance surveillance installations.
The new Pro 2MP Micro camera comes with a lens that supports up to 20 feet spacing from the power supply, along with with wide dynamic range (WDR) capability to balance bright backlighting challenged scenes. Furthermore, the camera supports a minimum illumination of 0.01 Lux, which enables it to offer outstanding low light performance without any kind of IR illumination.
Camera’s discrete LGA form factor makes it an ideal fit for applications such as elevators, banking, and ATM deployments. In addition, the Pro Micro comes equipped with corridor mode feature, which improves viewing in hallways and other narrow scenarios. The added licensing cost for the Pro Micro can be skipped when added to VideoEdge network video recorders (NVRs).
The camera’s VideoEdge TrickleStor feature enables it to continue video recording even during a network outage, and once the network connection is restored, the recorded video backfills to VideoEdge NVRs to allow later viewing.
Also, the camera’s Illustra IntelliZip feature continuously monitors and optimizes streaming parameters by matching the level of activity in the camera’s field of vision, thus offering practical storage savings, says the company.
Adhering to the stringent security standards of the Tyco Cyber Protection Product Security Program, the camera supports the holistic cyber approach, which begins at initial design concept, continues through product development, and is supported through deployment.
