President and CTO of LG Electronics, Dr. I.P. Park delineated the company’s vision for the future in LG’s CES® 2019 official pre-show keynote, titled AI for an Even Better Life.
The company’s CTO, at CES 2019, outlined how the three major pillars of Artificial Intelligence- Evolve, Connect and Open, deliver robust AI ecosystem with varied solutions for the real world. LG has taken a leading role in advocating the advantageous side of AI in customer’s lives. The outlined keynote featured the company’s AI technologies that deployed daily-life scenarios to provide a better understanding to the audience of over 3,000 industry VIPs, influencers and journalists regarding how the company is working on transforming tomorrow. During the address, LG’s CLOi GuideBot shared the spotlight with Dr. Park, became the first ever robot to support deliver a CES keynote in the process. Since its introduction in 2017, the company’s AI-powered brand LG ThinQ has seen its portfolio ascend quickly, involving ACs, TVs, washing machines, smartphones, and robot vacuum cleaners.
Park introduced the company’s latest breakthroughs in these appliances that embraced the power of AI, such as the world’s most advanced AI chip for home appliances, a washing machine with reinforced learning, and for detecting and fixing malfunctions automatically without interrupting operation, he presented self-healing machines. Additionally, LG is extending its incomparable consumer insight from home to the road with its ground-breaking concepts for a new in-car experience. In the advent of a self-driving revolution, the company has commenced to transform and inflate the very definition of vehicles from a means of transport to mobile space.
