LUXROBO Co., Ltd., a Seoul, South Korea-based IoT robotics startup co-founded by Sang Hun Oh and Seung Bae Son, and a member company of the K-ICT Born2Global Centre, in a recent statement, announced to showcase its customizable IoT smart modules, dubbed “MODI,” at the Consumer Electronics Show –CES 2019 in Las Vegas.
MODI is a winner of Reddot 2017 Design Awards; 2018 iF Design Awards; and a CES 2019 Innovation Award honoree. The product will be available for demo at CES Unveiled on January 6th (booth 43667) and during the CES 2019 main event, from January 8th to 11th (Sands Expo booth 43667).
The company will also be showcasing its DIY Smart Home platform at the CES 2019. Customers get customization feature and self-program option too for their smart home or smart classrooms, on integrating MODI modules, MODI OS-embedded electronic devices, and other IoT platforms through MODI IoT Hub. The company is also collaborating with Hanwha Construction, one of South Korea’s biggest construction companies, to offer its IoT platform as Hanwha’s built-in smart home IoT solution.
According to LUXROBO CEO Sang Hun Oh, the company is extremely excited to bringing MODI to the US audience for the first time at the CES 2019 event. Continuing, Hun Oh said that MODI is his own self designed product, devised from his personal experience of competing with 7 teams who became worldwide robotics competition champions by coaching them. The company’s goal is to make robotics easy and enjoyable and is happy to be among the trailblazers, with so many newsworthy robotics innovations at CES 2019.
