The city of Phoenix and MetTel, a communications and digital transformation solutions and services provider, as per a recent press release statement on Thursday, Feb. 7th, 2019, have entered a partnership agreement to provide fleet management automation technology-based services.
As per the drawn contract, MetTel will offer automated vehicle location services – including advanced location-based services, dispatch automation, and monitoring vehicle diagnostics and driver safety data, to help businesses make insightful decisions and boost other operations support efficiencies and processes, along the way. The initial stage of the project is aimed at providing telematics hardware and software solutions for tracking vehicles and gathering maintenance, routing, and customer inquiries data for the Phoenix Public Works and Water departments. The responsibility of collecting and maintaining data of thousands of city vehicles will solely be of MetTel.
MetTel will also be helping the city provide an efficient, cost-effective, and safe delivery of all-important water resources to residents and facilities. With MetTel’s IoT Fleet Management tech, all the Water Dept. vehicles will be connected on a network, this fleet management approach will assist the dept. to analyze the real-time information, and provide a gainful insight such as fuel cost usage, proof of service or delivery, and driver safety management.
MetTel’s telematics technology is apt at sending, receiving, retrieving, and storing vehicular, telecommunication device based, and employee-related information, both local and remote, via MetTel mobile connectivity and intelligent communications platform.
