Telecom network equipment maker, Nokia, in a recent statement, announced partnering with the Information Technology firm Infosys, to help companies across industries digitize their operations.
According to Nokia, the partnership will help drive digital transformation in sectors such as education, energy, manufacturing, media & entertainment, and transports.
For digitization, Infosys and Nokia will use artificial intelligence (AI), mobile broadband, lean management and the internet of things (IoT).
According to Laurent Le Gourrierec, Head of strategic partnership, Nokia, the integrated partnership aims at delivering Industry 4.0 solutions to customers worldwide. The collaboration will combine technology, products, and services from Nokia with platform solutions, operations management, and engineering from Infosys. The alliance will see the two companies develop solutions designed to address the specific needs of particular customer sets.
The initial area of focus will be the development of digital assets management solutions, which will allow enterprises to more effectively anticipate operations and maintenance requirements.
According to Anand Swaminathan, SVP- Communications, Media & Technology, Infosys, the alliance will help Nokia in dealing with challenges for its customers, so that they can stay competitive. The rapidly changing landscape with a focus on digital, software-defined networking, ML and IoT, is constantly challenging organizations to transform their business and operation models.
