Pineapple Payments, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based payment processing technology company, as per recent reports, has announced the strategic portfolio acquisition of CardChamp, a fellow Pittsburgh-based credit card processing, and merchant services provider.
With this acquisition, CardChamp will now have access to Pineapple’s proprietary payments technology and suite of omnichannel payment tools. Further terms and conditions of the acquisition were not disclosed.
CardChamp, working from its Pittsburgh headquarters, will be under the helm of its president & founder, Jimi Romanus, who will be overseeing all its businesses and operations.
“Our philosophy on payments is twofold – merchant services that can be offered to any and every business that accepts payments, but also payment solutions that are customized and tailored to meet specific needs,” states Romanus. “We’re able to find personalized solutions for niche payments needs and our team is really excited about that.”
According to Pineapple’s co-founder, Jon Halpern, who also played a key role in securing this new partnership with CardChamp by working closely with Romanus, “We plan to drive new opportunities through our expanded value-offerings and the collaboration of our teams will only strengthen our shared dedication to engage customers with comprehensive payment solutions.”
