Plum Healthcare, a California-based leading skilled nursing facilities provider of post-acute care services, has teamed up with Netsmart, a Healthcare IT company based in Overland Park, Kansas, to develop integrated care solutions to improve care delivery for senior living. This joint collaboration will be a key component to help Plum as it enters into new service lines and offerings across over 50 facilities all through Nevada and California. This partnership will combine technology teams to effectively form one team that will focus on the improvement of Plum strategic initiatives by using technology.
As part of the collaboration, the combined team of both companies will leverage their collective knowledge in developing appropriate solutions and services to support integrated healthcare. The partnership also will give access to Plum to utilize Netsmart’s EHR solution (Electronic Health records) and Carequality Interoperability framework. This will strongly position Plum to reinforce their status as a well-respected, high-volume provider. Moreover, Plum Healthcare will utilize a Netsmart EHR solution, myUnity, which coalesces all patient data within a single patient record across care settings, with an exhaustive data and analytics tool to obtain abrupt access to imperative health information and actionable reports. On this partnership agreement, Plum Healthcare CEO Cory Christensen stated that with this partnership, we are capitalizing on the superior configurability and interoperability of the Netsmart suite of solutions to design and implement systems that support our unique approach to providing care.
Cory continues that we recognize the need to better support our more than 50 facilities while also proactively taking steps to create what we need for future success as we partner with providers to collaborate and improve outcomes. Netsmart has an outstanding track record of developing and revolutionizing technology that meets the unique needs of diverse healthcare settings while simultaneously uniting them as the entire industry shifts to a more coordinated, value-based care approach. This opportunity presented itself as a natural fit for our long-term goals and we look forward to contributing to leading technology development in post-acute care, Cory added.
