Security’_And_‘System_Risk’_Prime_Focus_Of_2019_Stanford_Blockchain_Conference ‘Security’ And ‘System Risk,’ Prime Focus Of 2019 Stanford Blockchain ConferenceThe third Stanford Blockchain Conference 2019 event, will be held on Jan. 30th – Feb. 1st, 2019, at Arrillaga Alumni Center, Stanford University. According to event organizers, the prime focus of the conference will be security and “systemic risk.”

The conference demonstrates the institution’s dedication towards the blockchain technology, the three-day event will witness presentations and discussions on a variety of technical issues. The event will be chaired by Stanford professors, among others, and will witness multiple cryptocurrency businesses, demonstrating their innovative solutions and presenting the potential of what the blockchain technology is capable of delivering. Some of those businesses are, namely: Blockstream, ConsenSys and Polychain Capital.

The conference will witness industry representatives speaking their views on technicality issues, including smart contracts platform Chainspace and Stellar-focused startup Interstellar.

The first Stanford Blockchain Conference was held in 2017, keeping the theme of the conference the same as first, the 3rd conference will explore the use of formal methods, empirical analysis, and risk modeling to better understand security and systemic risk in blockchain protocols.

Organizers also mentioned, that 2019 event’s main theme is “multidisciplinary collaboration.” The blockchain conference aims to foster a multidisciplinary collaborative approach among practitioners and researchers in major fields like blockchain protocols, distributed systems, cryptography, computer security, and risk management.
