The leader in Artificial Intelligence-powered decision support software for radiation oncologists Siris Medical, Inc. has announced the commercial release of its PlanMD™ 2.0, an updated version of the first AI-powered decision support software.
PlanMD allows radiation oncology clinical teams to use patient data and AI to make better treatment decisions. It is the first and only tool that empowers the doctors to examine the effect of editing contours in real-time, without re-optimizing or re-planning. It also complements Siris Medical’s QuickMatch ™ software that expedites the treatment planning process by utilizing AI to promptly classify the most similar cases previously treated to inform planning decisions and support lessen dose to crucial structures. However, improvements of PlanMD 2.0 appeared primarily from data derived from radiation oncologists who are the primary users of the tool. The new version is aimed to make the tool even faster and easier to use. New precision display functionality enables for greater efficiency and precision in structure evaluation and contouring, for both tumor and critical organs.
Chief Medical Officer of Siris Medical, Dr. Marc Nash stated that as the significant prediction algorithms have done well, it has performed only through comprehensive input from practicing radiation oncologists where the company can surely guarantee the ease of use and fast outcomes that busy clinicians demand. Through its proprietary AI platform, Siris Medical Inc enables clinicians to efficiently make high-quality radiation treatment decisions.
