As more and more people, adopt the gamified way of maintaining health, Smart Bikes become more popular and turning out to be a trend. At the CES tech show 2017, LeEco a Chinese smartphone company has introduced a smart bicycle that runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Under the hood, a Snapdragon 410 processor powers the bicycle. For user interaction, a 4-inch touchscreen has been provided. The bike runs on Android powered bike OS said the company. In order to track performance and navigation features, the touchscreen comes in handy. The touchscreen device that was incorporated into the bicycle is said to be supported by a 6,000-mAh battery. The Toray T700 carbon fiber frame with SR Suntour XCR Air front fork are a few sailing point when the manufacturing is considered.
The bicycle is incorporated with a bunch of sensors like accelerometer, barometer, compass, GPS/GLONASS, crank speed and wheel speed. With IP54 certification all the electronics parts included in the bicycle are water resistant. As of now, the bike will be launched for the United States market only. However, the company officials are expecting the bicycle to be launched in other markets soon.
