SnapAV, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based leading manufacturer of audio/video, networking, surveillance, and power equipment, in a recent press release statement, announced acquisition of MRI Distribution, a leading low-voltage electronics solution distributor in the Northeast. MRI is SnapAV’s 3rd distributor purchase in the past year, following its earlier acquisition of Allnet in the Midwest and Volutone in the SoCal last year, in 2018.
MRI has 4 branch offices which are located at Plainville, Connecticut; Albany, New York; Woburn, Massachusetts; and Norwalk, Connecticut. The new Norwalk, Connecticut location will be organizing a grand opening ceremony on Tuesday, Mar. 26th 2019. Furthermore, MRI was a member of the Powerhouse Alliance and has RTI & URC in home automation; Napco, 2GIG, & Elk in home security; some Z-Wave products; and a wide range of audio/video solution offerings under its belt.
MRI in a memo to dealers promised that SnapAV products will be available at MRI branch locations and for sale online in the “coming weeks.” SnapAV is the global leader in providing audio, video, automation, networking, remote monitoring (OvrC) and other products for the home automation industry, and in coming few weeks, all SnapAV products will be available through official channels at MRI branch locations and on the MRI website. For now, “your shopping routine will remain unchanged”, SnapAV promised its customers.
