Space X is planning to include two paying passengers with the crew on a tourist trip to the moon. The spaceship that will be used is still under construction at NASA announced the launch company on Monday. This privately sponsored tourist flight past the orbit of the International Space Station is cautiously targeted for late 2018, Space Exploration Technologies Chief Executive Elon Musk mentioned in a comment. However, Musk didn’t disclose the name of the passengers and neither the amount to be paid by them for the trip. The trip will last for a week. The tourists have deposited a substantial amount and will be trained heavily prior to the mission. He also mentioned that there can be a market for a couple of tourists per year for missions like this.

Musk estimates 10 to 20 percent of the company’s revenue from the tourist fares charged by the Space X. That route would be alike to NASA’s 1968 Apollo 8 mission beyond the moon and back.SpaceX’s two-person lunar endeavor to fly some 300,000 to 400,000 miles (480,000 to 640,000 km) from Earth beyond the moon before Earth’s gravity tugs the spacecraft back into the atmosphere for a parachute touchdown.
