Sprint-unveils-“5G-Experience”-space-In-Overland-Park-Kansas-Headquarters Sprint unveils “5G Experience” space In Overland Park, Kansas HeadquartersSprint, an Overland Park, Kansas-based leading telecommunications company, in a recent press release statement on Thursday, Mar. 14th 2019, announced the opening of “Sprint 5G Experience”, an immersive 5G center targeted at demonstrating how 5G works and how it’ll transform the lives of people. The company organized a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its Overland Park, Kansas headquarters to unveil the space ahead of Sprint’s 5G commercial service launch in May 2019.

Steve Gaffney, Sprint vice president of media and experiential marketing, said: “We are thrilled to provide our guests and employees an exciting way to experience the future of wireless technology in a fun and educational way in our new space”. Furthermore, Gaffney added, “With Sprint 5G coming soon in our first nine markets, this dedicated venue will provide unique and interactive ways to tell the story of 5G and help visitors visualize the types of innovations it will bring.”

The Sprint 5G Experience space incorporates over a dozen stations and demonstrations that use augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and simulated displays. The tour at 5G Experience space embarks visitors on a journey through the 5G foundation from spectrum to a fiber-optics network and from Massive MIMO technology to lower latency real-world demonstrations. Visitors will be given a detailed briefing on how 5G is to revolutionize innovations in the gaming and entertainment industry, energize smart cities and help them make safer, and connect billions of things i.e. connected hardware through IoT. The 1,100 square foot Sprint 5G Experience space is a prime location in Sprint’s Executive Briefing Center in Overland Park.

Dr. John Saw, Sprint chief technology officer, said: “With faster speeds and lower latency, 5G has the potential to significantly improve our homes, workplaces, cities, and lives”. Adding further, Dr. Saw said, “As we prepare to launch Sprint 5G with so many companies in our ecosystem, we are proud to be working with them to showcase what is possible with our next-generation technology in our new 5G Experience.”
