Brady Worldwide, a manufacturer of products for identifying components used in workplaces, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Supply Insight Inc., a radio frequency identification (RFID) software provider, in a partnership agreement, announced to integrate Brady’s CenSys Internet of Things (IoT) reader and Supply Insight’s Turnkey Total Tracking (TTT) real-time location system (RTLS) solution via instantaneous IoT messaging. The integration is targeted at reducing costs, re-purposing employees, and managing productive tasks.
According to Brock Hotaling, Supply Insight’s CEO, the company, which has been a pioneer in RFID platforms since 2004, discovered that the major concerns for companies opting out of RFID RTLS, in spite of RFID’s huge operational advantages, were the budget or complexity. TTT solution, which offers unmatched simplicity and affordability, weeds out these concerns for companies, by combining Brady CenSys and mobile BYOD readers, plus app, tags, mobile device, AWS secure portal, and intelligence dashboard, in a true turnkey package, keeping the prices well under $5000, making it easily affordable even to smaller companies and start-ups.
According to Wesley Columbia, Brady’s global strategy and marketing manager, a typical fixed RFID reader cost several thousand dollars each. Now, this RFID reader’s cost when combined with the infrastructure and software, becomes too much of a burden for most small to medium businesses. The CenSys reader only requires power and a stable Wi-Fi connection, and it offers both great performance and value at the sub-$1,000 price point and is uniquely simple to install and configure.
