Talend, a Redwood City, California-based open source data integration platform, in a recent press release statement, on Thursday, Feb. 21st, 2019, announced entering into a partnership agreement with RapidMiner, a Boston, Massachusetts-based data science platform provider. As per the partnership agreement, Talend’s Data Fabric and Stitch Data Loader products will now support integration with RapidMiner Server and RapidMiner AI Cloud, allowing global enterprises to operationalize data science and AI.
In 2018, the global business value derived from artificial intelligence (AI) was estimated to touch $1.2 trillion, a whopping 70 percent increase from 2017 estimations, furthermore, AI-derived business value is projected to touch $3.9 trillion in 2022, as per global research firm, Gartner, Inc.
With this partnership, data science-focused companies can further put predictive models into operations to help large-scale enterprises manage high-value use cases like real-time customer experience, predictive maintenance, and fraud detection. All this is possible thanks to RapidMiner integration with Talend’s open platform and component kit to help developers build machine learning components that offer optimal performance and scalability with Talend Data Fabric. The integration allows coupling RapidMiner’s automated data science with Talend’s enterprise data management platform.
According to Jeff Bashaw, VP of Channels and Corporate Development at RapidMiner, the company’s large enthusiastic customer base is already into exploring data science, making way with incredible data insights to develop future-predicting machine learning (ML) models. The major setback they face is, operationalizing those models, traditional challenges like scalability, reliability, and manageability limit them. To help customers overcome these challenges the company partnered with Talend, giving its customers a best of breed option.
