The funding round was led by the Growth Fund of L Catterton, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based capital market company, and was participated by new investor Evolution Media; existing investors Shasta Ventures, Mayfield, Sapphire Ventures and tennis star Serena Williams via Serena Ventures. With this recent Series C funding round, the total capital raised by Tonal will amount to a sum total of $90 million.

Tonal, with its only on-demand personalized strength-training system, is disrupting the connected-fitness market. With this recent funding, the company will further try to expand its presence in the states, after its recent delivery expansion to all 48 contiguous states. “There is nothing like Tonal on the market today.
