VIMOC Technologies, a Smart Mobility and Smart infrastructure solution provider, as per a recent press release statement on Thursday, Jan. 17th 2019, landed the Parking Guidance System deal for the Extended Learning Building Parking Structure at California State University, San Marcos.
The parking structure, which is part of a city-wide development initiative known as North City, will accommodate 709 spaces over 6 levels. North City is an urban development in North County San Diego, consisting of residential complexes, student housing units, high-end and community-oriented retail shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities.
Earlier in 2018, North City deployed VIMOC’s Smart Parking solution in their primary parking structures. The smart solution employed a network of VIMOC’s AI-optimized cameras that tracked entering and exiting of vehicles in the parking structure, delivering accurate and real-time parking occupancy of vehicles, to help drivers with guidance data and parking operators with parking intelligence, thus maximizing parking space utilization.
According to Darren Levitt, Vice President at Seabreeze Properties, a major developer of the North City initiative, the city found an understanding, intelligent and intuitive partner in VIMOC. Adding further, he said that both parking and real estate development go hand in hand in Southern California. With smart buildings comes the smart parking concept too. VIMOC with its expertise and knowledge provides the smartest parking tools the city has come across in the industry.
