MobileHelp®, a leader in mobile Personal Emergency Response Systems (mPERS) and healthcare solutions, and LifePod Solutions, jointly announced to showcase their proactive voice service at the Consumer Electronics Show –CES 2019.
The new service by leveraging the popular smart home speakers will help elderlies aging at home, healthcare patients, and their caregivers to access the LifePod’s proactive voice enhanced caregiving platform, that now comes integrated with the MobileHelp emergency response system.
MobileHelp, offers two products, a pendant, and a wrist button, either of which can be integrated with a LifePod subscription, enabling users to summon for help from someone in the family or emergency responders, by engaging directly with the LifePod voice-enhanced caregiving platform. When a user is in some kind of emergency, he/she can simply press the emergency button, on pressing it, the LifePod service will enquire the user if he/she needs any assistance. If the user prompts an affirmative answer, or if he/she fails to respond after pressing the emergency button, they will be connected to a MobileHelp emergency response center.
According to Rob Flippo, CEO of MobileHelp, more than 34 million US adults offer unpaid care to an adult over the age of 50 – and more than half of those over the age of 50 adults, receiving care reside in their own homes. LifePod’s platform allows MobileHelp to deliver the first fully-integrated, voice-enhanced emergency response system in a ‘virtual caregiver’ environment to empower people who wish to age in a place of their choice and to relieve the burden of constant monitoring from their caregivers, providing them complete peace of mind.
